The champagne and cake cutting were on the roof terrace of The Varsity Hotel and the reception/Wedding Breakfast was at The River Bar Steakhouse and Grill.
THE THEME/STYLE: Shabby Chic (light pinks, pearl, grey, and light green) Classy, traditional, English Summer time
WEDDING PLANNER/EVENT MANAGER: I didn't have a wedding planner, Malini from the Varsity Hotel helped me a good deal though as far as coordinating reception and wedding breakfast. We got engaged mid March and I planned most of the wedding at 5am before I went to work. I did this for a couple of months and got vendor meetings set up and then when my fiancé visa got issued I came to England and met with all the vendors. I was over in the UK for about 2 1/2 months getting vases and doing seating chart and getting engagement photos done etc…. (without my moms to help me) I did it though ;)
BRIDE’S DRESS: My dress was a Casablanca Dress from the 2012 Spring Collection (2077). I had the seamstress add tulle sleeves to the bodice and had the band around the waist done in a champagne colour.
HAIR & MAKE-UP: Lucy Ridley
GROOM/GROOMSMEN’S ATTIRE/COLOURS: The Groom and Groomsmen wore morning suits. Their trousers were light grey with stripes, the shirts were white with normal collar, worn with silver tie and vest. The Jacket was black as well as black shiny shoes. At the rehearsal dinner we gave each groomsmen a pair of socks that fit their personality so they wore them on the day.
FLOWERS: The Flower House
CAKE: Fitz Billies
VIDEOGRAPHY: Gary & Brendon at Thompson Granger Films
ENTERTAINMENT: The entertainment was booked through the Varsity. We made playlist for the DJ before hand and told him our style and he did a great job getting the party started. We chose a sweet country song for our first dance ‘Without You’ by Keith Urban
HONEYMOON: We went to America for our honeymoon, we couldn’t really go on a honeymoon though because I had to send my passport over to Sheffield so that my visa could get processed right away. Simon and I were there for two weeks together and had our American reception and then he left to come back home for work. We had to spend 52 days apart as newlyweds before my visa was finally safely returned back (after being lost in the post for 8 days!) I returned to England on October 6 for good ;) Honeymoon is still in the works though ;)
